What to do if you’re always tired during workouts?
Here are a few reasons why you’re constantly feeling exhausted during your workouts.
1.Are you under any medications?
Let say you’re taking meds for high cholesterol, your body will not produce enough coenzyme Q10, a nutrient necessary for energy production by the body. Some people also experience muscle cramps and fatigue while on these meds. Different meds have different side effects and probably that’s why you’re not at your best.
2. Do you skip rest day?
If yes, then you should consider taking a day or more to rest your muscle because over-training has been linked to injuries and depression. Don’t feel bad for taking a few days off gym as it allows the body to recharge.
3.Are you under a low-carb diet?
You might not be consuming enough carbs to power through your workouts because the human body’s primary energy source is glucose (derived from carbohydrates), especially during exercise.
4. Do you drink enough water?
Dehydration can cause fatigue to your body. If your body doesn’t get enough water, it will have to work harder in order to supply the necessary nutrients and oxygen to your muscles.
5. Do you have enough sleep?
When you don’t have enough sleep, your body goes under a lot of stress to keep it going. High-intensity workouts like HIIT can further stress our bodies, making it harder to function. Increase your sleep quality!
