Ways to cope and avoid exercise burnout
1. Take it easy
Working out should never be just about losing weight or bulking up, it should be more of a lifestyle to keep yourself fit and healthy. So instead of wanting to achieve your fitness goals in a shorter period of time, maybe you should take it easy and be more realistic.
2. Be experimental
Most of us think that the only way to lose weight is through cardio. But that’s not the case, there are tons of diets and workouts for you to try before you settle with a few that really suit your body. Doing the same thing over and over again can drain your mind and body.
3. Let your body recover
We get it that you want to be in your best shape ASAP but you need to let yourself recover. Schedule some rest days in between your workouts. It is as important as your workout!
4. Get a workout buddy
The main purpose of having a gym partner is so whenever you feel demotivated, the other can encourage you to keep going.
5.Try not to obsess over the numbers
You should keep track of your progress as that’s the only
way to know if your fitness regime is working, however obsessing over it won’t
do you good. Avoid stepping on the scale every day or every time you finish a workout.
