How long does it take to lose weight?

It’s probably the most favourite question of those who are on a diet! How long before I can see some drastic changes to my body? How long before I can hear the “OMG You look so thin!” comment from family and friends…Let’s figure out the amount of time needed for you and the rest of the world to notice the changes to your body!

Before we go into deeper discussion on this matter, please note that there are several factors that affect one’s weight loss; age, fitness, health status and lifestyle. On average, if you’re doing everything right and taking the safe way to lose weight, you should be losing around 0.5-1kg per week.

Don’t be too quick to celebrate if you see that you’ve lost more than two kilos in a week. Most of the time, you’re losing water and muscle. To avoid losing these important components while you lose weight, make sure to;

Stay Hydrated

#tbh, it is totally possible to lose weight without working out at all. But do you want flabby loose skin all over your body or a toned body? Also working out at least three times a week can help to speed up your weight loss journey!
