6 ways to make exercise a habit
Starting a fitness routine is easy but sticking to it is the difficult part. We’ve compiled a list of ways to make exercise a habit!
1.Schedule a specific time to workout
Pick a time and day you wish to workout and stick to it for as long as you can. Try to schedule it on your phone calendar to make sure it is easily visible to you.
2. Lay out your workout gear
We understand, getting up early in the morning can be really annoying but you’ll be surprised by the small act of how just laying your workout gear somewhere reachable can trick your mind into going to the gym.
3. Find your ‘whys’
It would be easier if you know why you’re committing to something. Either to lose weight or to improve your health conditions, having concrete reasons to do something would help you to be more committed to it.
4.Plan your workout
Have a proper plan to make sure you are not demotivated throughout your fitness journey. By planning it in advance, you can also give your body time to recover properly before starting again.
5. Start simple
If you’re just getting started, don’t rush into everything like eating clean and exercising. Maybe you can just start by working out regularly and once you get the hang, you can slowly switch your diet to a healthier option.
6.Plan your cheat day
Plan in advance what you’re going to eat and what you’re going to do so you won’t waste your 6 days of hard work. Instead of a cheat day, you might want to just have cheat meals once or twice a week.
