Young guns eager to impress
The five national Under 15 players who have been chosen to represent Malaysia at the ASEAN Dream Project (ADP) 2019 are eager to show everyone what local talents are capable of.
Despite having just traveled over 5,000 kilometers, the boys appeared to be in a buoyant mood ahead of their friendly match against Cerezo Osaka’s academy squad in Osaka, Japan this Saturday.
The five players are, including two from the Mokhtar Dahari Academy (AMD), Raja Muhammad Haikarl Raja Muhammad Zahari and Muhammad Danial Haiqal Mohd Shaipol as well as Muhamad Afiq Norizan (Malacca State Sports School); Muhammad Farizzudin Adham Batcha (Selangor State Sports School) and Anas Nadawi Shaharudin (SMK Bandar Baru Bangi).
“Now that we have made it this far, it would be a waste if we don’t showcase all our talents and skills,” said Muhd Afiq in an interview with Berita Harian.
All of these players were selected from a 120-candidate selection session at the USIM Stadium in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan last June.
