Young, dumb and broke football kids… NOT!
In 10 years or so, our favourite players at the moment such as Ronaldo and Messi would probably be retired from football or… forgotten if unlucky. We don’t want to say it, but it is a fact *touch wood*. To follow their footsteps, football clubs are constantly training young players to take their places on the field.
Here are a couple of young football players to look out for in the coming years:
The 19-year-old French striker is a professional footballer who is playing for Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-German and the France national team. He is currently the second most expensive Association Football transfer with €180 M (from Monaco to Paris Saint-Germain)! We foresee amazing things coming from him.
Famously known as “La Joya” (“The Jewel”), the young Adidas ambassador made his professional debut in the Primera B Nacional with his hometown club Instituto Atletico Central Cordoba at 17-years-old. Today, at 25, he is already playing for Italian club Juventus and the Argentina national team!
Although Timothy isn’t as outstanding as Mbappe and Dybala, he is working really hard to get there and it seems like it’s starting to pay off. If his last name sounds familiar, it is because he’s the son of George Weah, a former professional footballer and the President of Liberia. Besides that, the 18-year-old (!!!) forward is playing in Ligue 1 for Paris Saint-Germain and has earned his first senior international cap for the US.
The 22-year-old Spanish footballer is playing professionally for Real Madrid and the Spain national team as a winger and attacking midfielder. Started playing when he was only 10, Marco got signed under Real Madrid in 2014 and represented his country at the 2018 World Cup.
Kai became the youngest Bundesliga debutant when he made his debut for Bayer Leverkusen in 2016. On top of that, the German midfielder also became the youngest person to score a Bundesliga goal in 2017 and has been playing for the German senior team since August this year.
Paul Labile Pogba is a 25-year-old French footballer who is currently playing for Manchester United and the French team. He has represented France in two FIFA World Cup events and won the 2018 FIFA World Cup recently. Although he can be slightly inconsistent at times, he’s still young and has lots of time to improve.
The 25-year-old centre-back for Real Madrid and France National team started his career at the age of seven for local club AS Hellemmes. By 2011 at the age of 18, he was signed to play for Real Madrid under the guidance of Jose Mourinho, who considers Varane to be one of the best defenders in the world right now. Talk about major talent!
