Vietnam hold longest active unbeaten streak

Vietnam’s last defeat on the international stage was in the 2016 edition of AFF Suzuki Cup and they have yet to be beaten since.

Their last defeat came against Indonesia in the first leg of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2016 semi-final on December 3 2016. And following the 2-1 victory over Philippines in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018 semi-final first leg last weekend, their unbeaten streak is now up to 13 matches.

From December 7 2016 up until now, the Golden Dragons have drawn seven times and won six times.

The previous longest active unbeaten streak belonged to World Champions France, who were undefeated for 15 matches before losing 2-0 to Holland in the UEFA Nations League last month.

Vietnam are set to face Philippines tomorrow at the My Dinh National Stadium.
