Turkey stun world champions France

Turkey made it three wins from three in Group H as they stunned world champions France 2-0 at the Konya Büyükşehir Stadium.

Senol Gunes’ side started the game strong, scoring their first goal in the 30th minute with a header from Kaan Ayhan following Cengiz Under’s sublime free kick into the 18-yard box.

Under then further widened the gap by slipping the ball past Hugo Lloris after a sprint down the right wing to the French goal in the 40th minute.

Turkey now lead Group H with nine points having won all three games so far while France and Iceland are both at six points.
