Tuck confident TFC will progress
Terengganu Football Club (TFC) midfielder Lee Tuck is confident that his side will make it to the quarter-finals of the Malaysia Cup despite being drawn in the group of death.
The captain also believes that their outstanding in the last five Super League matches of the season will serve as a boost for them to excel in the tournament.
However, the player who has been dubbed as “Rooney Ganu”, urged his teammates to not take their opponents lightly as tournament football tends to be completely different from league football.
“Not to gloat, but I do believe that TFC are one of the strong competitors in the tournament and I’m confident that we can progress to the quarter-finals and win the trophy following last season’s disappointment against Perak.
“The fact of the matter is that, it’s not an easy task to win the Malaysia Cup and it’s not easy to progress to the final but with our recent form, I believe we are strong enough to make it past the group stage. Whatever it is, let’s wait for the group stage to kick-off in early August,” said the 31-year-old.
