The Drake Curse
Paris Saint-Germain’s Layvin Kurzawa became the latest victim of the ‘Drake Curse’ after his side were hammered 5-1 by Lille in the Ligue 1 last weekend.
The French defender joins a long list of sports celebrities who have gone on to lose their next game after getting a selfie or picture with famous Canadian rapper Drake.
Arsenal suffered a massive blow to their Premier League top four hopes with a 1-0 defeat at Everton days after striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was seen partying with Drake following his concert at the O2.
And Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero saw his penalty saved by Hugo Lloris in the 1-0 Champions League loss to Tottenham not long after taking a selfie with the rapper.
Jadon Sancho’s Borussia Dortmund side were thrashed 5-0 by Bayern Munich in their Bundesliga match, after the England international met the musician at a gig in the Manchester Arena.
Paul Pogba is also another huge name that has suffered from the supposed curse. The Frenchman smiled for a picture with Drake after the Manchester Arena gig on March 11 while Manchester United team-mates Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard watched from a box.
United were then eliminated from the FA Cup by Wolves on March 16 – a game Pogba featured in.
