TFC to miss six key players

Terengganu FC (TFC) will be without the services of six key players for their Malaysia Cup opener against PKNS FC tomorrow night.

The absence of six stalwarts, including Lee Tuck who was shown the red card against Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in their final Malaysia Super League tie of the season, will definitely be a cause for concern ahead of their Group A match at the Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium.

Aside from the club captain, TFC will also be without Abdul Malik Mat Ariff, Mohd Ashari Samsudin, Khairul Anwar Shahrudin, Ahmad Syamim Yahya and import player, Thierry Chantha Bin.

Despite the major setback, interim head coach Nafuzi Zain insists that he and his squad are confident that they will be able to get a positive result.

“Our approach to the game is the same even without those six players. And although the absence of Tuck will be felt by the team, I hope that the players who are fielded will be able to perform well,” said Nafuzi.
