Solskjaer to take over Man Utd?

Manchester United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s appointment as the club’s interim manager appears to have been confirmed, albeit accidentally.

Following Jose Mourinho’s sacking yesterday, the Manchester United official website posted a video with the caption: ‘Solskjaer becomes our interim manager, 20 seasons after clinching the Treble with THAT goal at Camp Nou…’

But the video did not appear on the club’s homepage, instead it was posted under the following URL (below) and removed shortly after:

It was not just someone at United who made the blunder of announcing Solskjaer’s appointment too soon as Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg also made a similar mistake via Twitter: “Great day for Norwegian football. Good luck keeping control of the Red Devils, @ olegs26_ole.”

Reports claim that Manchester United will be announcing his appointment officially in the coming hours.
