Sathia apologises on behalf of Nurridzuan
Selangor head coach B. Sathianathan has apologised for the obscene finger gesture made by midfielder Nurridzuan Abu Hassan during their 1-1 Super League draw with Perak FC last Friday.
Following his sending off for a second booking in the 55th minute, Nurridzuan made an obscene gesture with his finger, twice, while making his way to the tunnel at the Shah Alam Stadium.
“I think what he (Nurridzuan) did was wrong. We will talk to him. I’m not happy about it but maybe because he’s an ex-Perak player, so he got carried away.
“Players need to control their emotions especially when it comes to the crowd.
“It was wrong of him and on behalf of our team, I apologise,” said Sathianathan.
Perak took the lead in the 35th minute through Nor Hakim Hassan who finished off a beautiful cross from Shahrel Fikri.
Sandro Mendonca bagged Selangor’s equaliser with a perfectly executed free-kick in the 38th minute.
