Sarawak turn to Indonesian imports

Sarawak FA are turning to import players from Indonesia to help strengthen their squad ahead of the Malaysia Premier League season.

According to Utusan Borneo, a total of three players from Indonesia League 2 side Persipon Pontianak, will be arriving in Kuching to undergo tryouts today.

Another player from the same club, 20-year-old Rian Nugraha Yukandi, has already started training with Sarawak after linking up with them on 31st December 2018.

Sarawak team manager, Hamzah Brahim, said they will evaluate the players before making a decision.

“We will evaluate him (Rian) along with the other players who are arriving soon before making a decision.

“We will discuss with the coach to determine which players will be selected,” said Hamzah.
