Sancho in line for first start

Borussia Dortmund’s sensational teenage winger Jadon Sancho could be making his first competitive start for England in their Euro 2020 qualifier against Czech Republic.

Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is a doubt for the clash at Wembley having missed Tuesday’s training session at St George’s Park with an ankle injury, and the 18-year-old could be brought in to take up his role.

Sancho has three caps for England so far – including one start against the USA in November, but if picked for the match against the Czechs, it will be his competitive start ever.

And in regards to Sancho’s ability, England captain Kane said, “He has no fear. We had a little sudden-death penalty shoot-out and he chipped his one down the middle.

“That takes a bit of bottle, especially at his age, but it shows he is enjoying it and that is what we want. We want players to enjoy it and express themselves in any part of the game or training and he certainly has done that today.”
