Ronaldo to retire next season?

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he could retire from football at the end of this season.

The Portuguese superstar recently signed a new four-year deal with Juventus after helping them to the Serie A title in his first full season at the club last term.

However, during a recent interview with Portugal TV station TV1, the 34-year-old shared that he does not know what the future holds despite admitting he is fit enough to continue playing at the highest level for many more years to come.

“I don’t think about that (retirement). Maybe I can leave my career next year … but I can also play up to 40 or 41.

“I don’t know. What I always say is to enjoy the moment. The gift is excellent and I have to continue to enjoy it,” said the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player who finished as Juve’s top scorer last season with 21 goals in the Serie A.
