Ronaldo makes history, again

Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has set yet another goalscoring landmark after netting twice in his side’s 3-1 Serie A win over Udinese.

The Portugal captain, who scored 11 goals from 19 games so far this season, has become the only player in Europe’s top five leagues to hit double figures in all competitions in each of the last 15 seasons.

The 34-year-old scored both his goals in the first half (9′ & 37′) while Leonardo Bonucci put the game beyond Udinese’s reach with a headed effort in the 45th minute.

“The most important thing was to win. This is how we should play, with confidence. Individual performances aren’t what matters, but the collective effort,” said Ronaldo in a post-match interview with Sky Sport Italia.

Udinese’s consolation goal was scored by winger Ignacio Pussetto late in the game.
