Pogba, De Gea out of Liverpool clash

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea and midfielder Paul Pogba have been ruled out of Sunday’s Premier League game against Liverpool through injury.

De Gea suffered a groin injury during Spain’s 1-1 draw against Sweden while the French midfielder has yet to fully recover from an ankle injury he sustained in early September.

There are currently 10 United players in the treatment room ahead of their crucial showdown with Liverpool at Old Trafford this weekend and things could go from bad to worse for Ole Gunner Solskjaer if his side fail to get a favourable result against one of their fiercest rivals.

Liverpool are on top of the Premier League with 24 points from eight matches while Manchester United are in 12th place with nine points.
