PFAM in support of MFL directive
The Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) are in full support of the Malaysian Football League’s (MFL) stern initiative to deal with the overdue salaries issue plaguing local clubs.
PFAM Chief Executive Officer, Izham Ismail said that he welcomes this move by the MFL and promises they will do all that’s necessary to protect the players.
“PFAM are on the same page as the MFL and believe that the best way to deal with this overdue salary issue is by taking a sterner approach.
“MFL’s stern action towards Kuantan FA should serve as a reminder to all teams so that they don’t look at this overdue salaries issue as something minor.
“In fact this move by MFL is prove that we are going to deal with this overdue salaries issue very seriously. This should not be regarded as a form of tyranny but instead it’s merely a step to ensure that we will always remain professional.
“PFAM are hoping that this overdue salaries issue gets solved immediately and that the involved teams are proactive in dealing with it,” he said.
