PFA ready to accept MFL’s decision
The Perlis Football Association (PFA) insists that they are willing to accept whatever decision the Malaysian Football League (MFL) takes in regards to their future in the Premier League.
The MFL Board of Directors are currently reviewing the financial status of PFA along with six other clubs that have been plagued by the overdue salaries issue.
And with the outcome of the review set to be revealed soon, PFA President Datuk Ahmad Amizal Shaifit Ahmad Rafie said, “We have done everything that was requested by MFL. We have submitted all of our financial documents to the MFL and the rest is in their hands. We will accept whatever decision the MFL come up with.
PFA’s financial instability has already led to team captain Safee Sali leaving the club for Super League side Petaling Jaya City FC. And Datuk Amizal is expecting that a few more players are set to leave Perlis in the near future.
“We will allow players that have received offers to leave the club. We allowed Safee to join PJ City without any complications. There are four, five more players who have expressed their desire to leave the club officially, but we have yet to make a decision.
“We are still trying to solve this issue and we will hold on as long as possible. We have some plans in place for this club,” he added.
