The statement read: “The management of Football Association of Penang (FAP) held a special meeting to discuss Premier League side Penang’s current form and have come to the conclusion that Head Coach, Haji Ahmad Yusoff, will be RESTED with immediate effect.

“This drastic decision was made after evaluating the team’s current form and we are hoping to make the most out of the games left in the 2019 Premier League.

“Haji Ahmad Yusoff has been informed about this decision.”

Penang, currently in ninth place, have only accumulated four points after having won one and drawn one of their five matches this season.
