Our favourite footballers for every position in 2019: Part 2
This article is a part of a series. Have you checked out Part 1? 2019 is coming to an end and we’ve listed out our favourite footballers for every position!
Central midfielder: N’Golo Kante
The French footballer has been playing for Chelsea as a defensive midfielder since 2016. Known for his speed and exceptional stamina, his former Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri said that; “This player Kanté, he was running so hard that I thought he must have a pack full of batteries hidden in his shorts. He never stopped running in training. I tell him, ‘One day, I’m going to see you cross the ball, and then finish the cross with a header yourself.’ He’s unbelievable.”

Attacking midfielder: Bernardo Silva
We do believe that the 25-year-old Manchester City player is the best for the position as his tremendous footballing IQ, concentration, timing of runs and overall decision making. Most of his goals were perfectly timed!

Winger: Raheem Sterling
We don’t think this Manchester City gem needs any introduction. For this season (so far), he has scored seven goals and had an assist in City’s first nine league matches, and four goals from three matches in the UEFA Champions League which included a brilliant hat-trick in his side’s 5-1 demolition of Atalanta. We don’t think he’s going to slow down anytime soon.

Forward: Lionel Messi
Sorry Ronaldo, but we honestly think Messi has been doing really great this year. Also, we’re not completely sure of this rumour but according to Messi, he has already been informed that he is set to win the upcoming Ballon d’Or award even though the ceremony is scheduled for next week.
