No holding back for Malaysia

Harimau Malaya head coach Tan Cheng Hoe has urged his team to go all out against Timor-Leste in the second leg playoff of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers despite their huge victory in the first tie last week.

Malaysia’s progress is pretty confirmed following their commanding 7-1 win in the first leg but Cheng Hoe is eager to use the match tonight as a way to further improve their performance.

“We will approach it like any other match and what’s important is that the players need to improve their performance while minimising individual errors.

“As of now, I see that they are playing well but we must be able to maintain this consistency,” said the 51-year-old.

Malaysia are set to face Timor-Leste at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium tomorrow night.
