Mourinho wants Zlatan

New Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen to sign striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the January transfer window.

The 38-year-old will be available on a free transfer in the new year when he completes his two-year spell at Major League Soccer (MLS) club LA Galaxy.

And according to reports, Mourinho, who took over at Tottenham following the sacking Mauricio Pochettino, is looking at hijacking AC Milan’s attempts to re-sign Ibrahimovic.

Mourinho, having worked with Ibrahimovic while at Inter Milan (2008-09) and Manchester United (2016-18), is said to be a huge fan of the former Swedish international’s professionalism and winning mentality.

Harry Kane is Tottenham’s only out-and-out striker at the moment with the club failing to find a replacement for Fernando Llorente in the summer.
