The 27-year-old midfielder was playing for Napoli when Pep Guardiola expressed an interest to sign him. Pep even listed him as the club’s priority signing for the summer and Napoli also gave the green light. Chelsea interfered soon after that and came up with a counteroffer for the player. They signed Jorginho on a five-year contract.

While Willian was at Anzhi Makhachkala, Spurs made a move for the talented footballer. Everything seemed to going well with Willian even spotted doing medical checkup to join Spurs. Chelsea owner,  Roman Abramovich then offered more cash to his good friend Suleyman Kerimov, owner of Anzhi, and Willian ended up playing for the Blues instead.

You might think Chelsea is great at hijacking talented players to their club right? But from time to time, they also end up becoming victims. Robinho was a sensational in 2008. He was playing for Real Madrid at that particular time and Chelsea had reached an agreement to sign the star. Right before Chelsea make an official announcement,  Manchester city signed the attacker for RM 162.5 million taking Chelsea by surprise!
