More woes for PFA
The Perlis Football Association (PFA) are reportedly on the brink of being evacuated from their training ground after failing to pay rent.
It’s been reported that the Northen Lions are currently training at the Univerity Malaya Arena and have been using their other facilities as well.
“The Perlis players are currently training at University Malaya (UM). They are not just training there, but also staying and using other facilities. But since the university have not received rental payment, Perlis have been given time until February 15,” said an unnamed source to Sinar Harian.
The source also revealed that there are a number of players who are definitely leaving the team before the transfer closes on 20 February.
“I’ve heard that four to five players that are set to leave the team. They consist of senior and junior players.
“I also heard that they are waiting for the game against Johor Darul Ta’zim II before making a final decision. It’s quite a pity because they are just hoping to get their salary.
“Some of the players also understand that they don’t have an option. Time is almost up (transfer period) and most teams have already signed their players,” he added.
Perlis are set to face Johor Darul Ta’zim II in the Malaysia Premier League at 9:00pm tonight.
