Morales hopes to represent Malaysia

PKNS FC import midfielder, Romel Morales, revealed that he wants to represent the Malaysia national squad in the near future.

The 22-year-old Colombian said that he is very comfortable staying in Malaysia and he wouldn’t mind waiting another three years to get a shot at representing the Harimau Malaya squad.

“I would love to play for Malaysia because of the culture this nation has to offer and my time with PKNS has been great as we all work together.

“I don’t mind waiting three years to get a chance because representing the country is an honour that not many people will get,” he said.

The law set by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) dictates that all naturalise players who do not have biological ties to the country must live “continuously for at least five years after reaching the age of 18 on the territory of the relevant association.”
