Messi’s bizarre contract clause REVEALED
Barcelona’s talismanic forward, Lionel Messi, has a clause in his contract which allows him to leave the club at the end of every season, for absolutely nothing.
According to Spanish-language daily newspaper, El País, the Argentinian’s current four-year contract, which was signed in 2017, has an astounding release clause of RM3.23billion but gives the player complete freedom over his future.
This means that while Messi has a contract which runs till 2021, he could leave Catalonia for free next summer.
However, there has been no indication whatsoever that the player is considering a move away from the Nou Camp just yet.
Since making his debut for Barcelona back in 2004, Messi has scored a whopping 603 goals, as well as 242 assists.
