Man Utd down Spurs, Solsjaer breaks record

Manchester United continued their resurgence under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they beat Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium.

Marcus Rashford coolly slotted home a sublime pass from teammate Paul Pogba right before half-time to give Manchester United their sixth successive victory in all competitions.

Goalkeeper David De Gea put on a man-of-the-match display as he made a string of outstanding saves – including 11 in the second-half – to keep out Tottenham as United held on to their lead.

And there was also a personal milestone for Solskjaer as he became the first United manager ever to win his first six games in charge of the club, with the triumph over Tottenham following on from successes against Cardiff, Huddersfield, Bournemouth, Newcastle and Reading.
