Malaysia urged to make home advantage count

Deputy President of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Datuk Yusoff Mahadi, has urged the national squad to take full advantage of their home support when facing Myanmar in the AFF Suzuki Cup 2018.

Malaysia are in a do-or-die situation in Group A of the AFF Suzuki Cup with only point separating the top three sides.

“This is a very important match for both teams and with Myanmar only needing a draw, the pressure will very much be on us. And seeing how the match is being played at Bukit Jalil, we expect there to be many Myanmar supporters.

“So we hope that the Harimau Malaya supporters will all turn up to show their support and lift the spirits of our national players.

“I know this is a difficult match but with the support of the fans, I believe that the Harimau Malaya will perform incredibly and achieve victory,” said Datuk Yusoff in an interview with Berita Harian.

Malaysia are set to face Myanmar on 24 November at 8.30pm.
