Malaysia tear Australia apart
The national squad were in scintillating form as they defeated four-time champions Australia 3-0 in the Asean Football Federation (AFF) Under-18 championship in Vietnam.
Malaysia are currently on top of Group B with nine points having won three out of their four games thus far, the same as Australia.
Forward Luqman Hakim Shamsudin put Malaysia ahead in the 17th minute by finishing off a beautiful pass from Mohd Nasip Mohammad Zain.
The Aussies were made to pay again in the 27th minute, after defender Muhammad Azam Azmi Murad fired past Australian goalkeeper Jackson Henry Sidney Lee from a corner kick.
Malaysia were three goals to the good in the 39th minute thanks to a second goal by Luqman who dribbled past the Australian defence before tucking the ball away.
