Magnificent Reds knock out Barcelona

Liverpool came back from three goals down in the first-leg to defeat Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield in the semi-final of UEFA Champions League.

Despite the absence of influential forwards Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, who were both out injured, Liverpool got two goals apiece from Divock Origi (7′ & 79′) and Georginio Wijnaldum (54′ & 56′) to shock Lionel Messi and company 4-3 on aggregate and reach the Champions League final for the second time in a row.

Reds boss, Jurgen Klopp, who was visibly pleased with his side following the remarkable victory, said,”I said to the boys before the game that this is impossible, but because it’s you, it’s possible.

“It’s 10:10pm, so most kids are in bed… these boys are f*cking mentality giants. It’s unbelievable.

“The whole game was too much. It was overwhelming. We played against maybe the best team in world.

“Winning is difficult but winning with a clean sheet, I don’t know how they did it. It’s unbelievable.

“The mix of potential and unbelievable heart is just a mix I never saw before. You have to be confident in a game like this.”
