Long scores fastest Premier League goal
Southampton striker Shane Long scored the fastest goal in Premier League history this morning as he bagged his side’s opener after just seven seconds against Watford.
But a late equaliser from Watford’s Andre Gray in the last minute of normal time meant that Long’s record breaking strike was worth just a point in the end.
“Well, the manager told us to have a quick start and get at them …,” said Long who scored his third goal in four games.
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s Southampton side are currently in 16th place with 37 points out of 35 games.
