Ljungberg “proud” despite humiliating defeat

Arsenal interim boss Freddie Ljungberg has made a shocking claim that he is proud of his team despite their 3-0 humbling at the hands of Manchester City in the Premier League.

Kevin De Bruyne put in a world-class display to help City secure a comprehensive win at the Emirates Stadium but Ljungberg refused to criticise his players and instead stated that, “They are the champions. I was proud of our boys.

“When you look at the age of the side that finished it was not an old side.

“We all have to look in the mirror and try to see.”

Belgium international De Bruyne scored two brilliant goals (2′ & 40′) while also setting up teammate Raheem Sterling (15′) as City got back to winning ways.
