Lampard gets the better of Mourinho
Willian and Frank Lampard got the better of their former manager Jose Mourinho as Chelsea secured a comfortable 2-0 win over London rivals Tottenham.
It was Mourinho’s second recent defeat against a former club after Tottenham lost to Manchester United earlier this month.
Frank Lampard’s side were the dominant team in the encounter and thanks to Willian’s first-half brace, they have now moved to fourth in the Premier League table.
The game was however was marred by allegations that Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger was the target of racist abuse and announcements were made over the stadium public address system in the second half warning fans against racist behavior.
Tottenham is said to be investigating the incident and added that,”racism is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated in our stadium.”
The statement continued: “We take any such allegations extremely seriously and shall take the strongest possible action against any individual found to be behaving in such a way, including stadium bans.”
