KLFA pay off player salaries
Kuala Lumpur Football Association (KLFA) confirmed that they have paid off the overdue player salaries for the months of November and December 2018.
KLFA Secretary-General, Nokman Mustaffa, said that now they just have to settle January 2019’s sum and he believes that it will be sorted very soon.
“We paid off the owed sum (November and December 2018) last Wednesday, before the Super League game against Pahang. A total of RM2.1 million was paid out to the entire squad consisting of Super League, President Cup (U-21) and Youth Cup (U-19) players.
“For January, it’s not really an issue because we are only slightly delayed and we are hoping to sort it by the end of this week. We’ve kept our promise of paying off the owed sum for the last two months of 2018 and we will definitely make sure that the players get their January salaries as soon as possible.
“Regardless, we would like to thank the players for understanding KLFA’s situation and their patience is much appreciated. The management will continue to work hard and we hope that the players will put on a great performance in their upcoming match,” he said.
