Kane “fit” to face Liverpool
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane insists that he is fit to face Liverpool in the final of the UEFA Champions League this weekend.
The England international has not featured for Spurs since injuring his ankle in April’s quarter-final, first leg against Manchester City.
But having resumed full training with the first-team squad on Friday, the 25-year-old declared that he is ready to feature in the biggest match of Tottenham’s history thus far.
“If the final was today I would be fit to play. I feel good. I started to feel my way back with the team at the end of last week. There have been no problems so far. For me, this week now is to get the fitness as high as possible. Then it’s down to the manager.
“I did a lot of work on my own to get me into a good place to go back with the team. Since I’ve been with them, I’ve been in full training, doing everything. I’m at a place now where I’m ready to go for any game but again, it’s down to the manager,” he said.
Kane also went on to confirm that he will be available for England’s Nations League semi-final on June 6.
