JDT hoping for comfortable victory

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) will be heading to the Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium, Kuala Terengganu, this Saturday for the first leg of their Malaysia Cup semi-final match with Terengganu FC (TFC).

JDT manager Luciano Figueroa insists that the upcoming match against TFC is an important one because they are a strong and capable side.

Following their victory over Pahang in the previous round, Figueroa said it’s important for JDT to secure a favourable result so that they will be in a comfortable position ahead of the return leg in Larkin on 20 October.

“We are going there for the victory eventhough we know that TFC are formidable opponents. But anything can happen in football.

“TFC will go all out to defeat us and we will do whatever we can to stop that from happening. They should be wary of JDT and what we have in store for them. Our preparations have been going well and none of our players are currently injured or suspended,” he said.
