What a year! 2019 has been a colourful year for football and here’s 5 of the most unforgettable moments that happened.

USWNT won the FIFA Women’s World Cup

The FIFA Women’s World Cup was held in France this year and the United States women’s national soccer team won the title.  So far, they’ve won four Women’s World Cup titles (including the first Women’s World Cup in 1991), four Olympic gold medals (including the first Olympic women’s soccer tournament in 1996), and eight CONCACAF Gold Cups!

Ronaldo’s 99th International goal

Ronaldo is just a few goals away from creating history. He netted his 99th goal when Juventus met Luxembourg last November. Currently, Ali Daei is holding the record of the world’s all-time leading goal scorer with 109 goals for Iran.

Salah’s daughter’s first public performance

Salah’s daughter, Makka, was seen dribbling across the pitch and shot the ball into an open net. Fans at the stadium rose and cheered for the little girl. #aww

Trump and Rapinoe’s ‘cute’ fight

In an interview, Rapinoe stated that she won’t be going to the white house if her team wins the World Cup. In response to that, Trump later tweeted; “I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer,” the president continued, “but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job!’’. And the USA won.
