Harimau Malaya urged to be cautious
Malaysia national head coach Tan Cheng Hoe has reminded his players not to make silly errors in their Group G World Cup 2022/Asian Cup 2023 qualifiers clash against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) tonight.
The Harimau Malaya are set to face UAE at the National Stadium tonight and the 51-year-old is well aware that his side can ill afford to take their opponents lightly.
“The players cannot be nervous or feel pressured, because we know that they are many who are counting on us right now.
“It’s important for us to minimise errors because in football, the smallest mistake could potentially cost us the game.
“But as a coach, I’m always confident with the capabilities of my players. To progress to the next level, we need to face this challenge and this (facing UAE) is a big challenge for us,” said Cheng Hoe during their pre-match press conference.
Malaysia are on top of Group G following their 3-2 win over Indonesia in Jakarta last Thursday.
