Hamidin has faith in Kim Swee

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin is confident that the Malaysia Under 22 (U-22) squad, under Datuk Ong Kim Swee, will perform well at the upcoming SEA Games 2019 in Manila.

“The national under 22 (U-22) squad are capable of doing it. We know Datuk Ong Kim Swee can get the best out of his team. And this is also a perfect chance for the players to show us what they can do,” said Datuk Hamidin at the Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Sports ARena yesterday.

The Harimau Muda are set to face Myanmar in their SEA Games 2019 Group A opener on Monday (25 November) before facing host nation Philippines (29 November), Timor-Leste (2 December) and Cambodia (4 December).

For the record, Kim Swee helped Malaysia take home the gold medal at the SEA Games 2011 in Indonesia and silver at the 2017 edition in Kuala Lumpur.
