Guerra, Vathanaka join PKNS FC
Datuk K.Rajagopal’s PKNS FC side have been bolstered by the arrivals of two experienced import players; Gabriel Guerra and Chan Vathanaka.
Guerra is making a comeback to PKNS FC, having already played there for two seasons, while Vathanaka had a six month with Pahang stint previously.
According to Guerra, he is very happy to be back with the squad, dubbed The Red Ants, and is ready to give it his all.
“I picked PKNS FC because it was my first team in Malaysia and I also know this team very well.
“I will do my best for the team in every competition that we are involved in,” he said.
Guerra played for PKNS FC in the 2015 and 2016 season before making the decision to join Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in 2017.
Whereas for Vathanaka, he believes that the experience of playing for Pahang last season has helped him prepare for PKNS FC’s upcoming Super League campaign.
“I’ve played in the Super League before this and I know that we have to give it our all every time we go on to the pitch.
“I will try to help this team achieve a top four finish in the league,” said Vathanaka.
Vathanaka only performed for Pahang until the second transfer window, after which he was replaced by Issey Nakajima Farran.
PKNS FC’s two other import players for the upcoming season are Romel Morales Ramirez and former Malaysia Indian Football Association (MIFA) forward, Kpah Sherman.
