Footballers who are enemies ON & OFF the field

Check out our list of footballers who hate each other.

1.Diego Maradona and Pele

In the past, Maradona said stuff like, “he should return to the museum”, “played with players who couldn’t even move”, “, “keeps on saying stupid stuff when he takes the wrong pills” when he was talking about Pele. Pele also was not all innocent as he also said mean stuff like; “Now, we can’t say that Maradona was a great header. He didn’t score goals with headers. And we cannot say Maradona shot very well with both feet because he didn’t shoot with his right, only mainly with his left…”.

3.Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Rafael Van der Vaart

In 2004, when the Netherlands was playing against Sweden, things were not great between the two players as Ibrahimovic tackled the Dutchman so hard that he tore his ankle ligament. Van der Vaart was convinced that the tackle was on purpose and made a huge deal out of it. Zlatan tried to apologize to Van der Vaart but he didn’t accept it. Then Ajax coach Ronald Koeman, made them sit together and Zlatan said, “I didn’t injure you on purpose, and you know that. If you accuse me again, I’ll break both your legs and that time it will be on purpose.”

Icardi and Lopez used to be #bffs and then an unusual love triangle happened. Icardi began dating Lopez’s wife Wanda and the couple split up soon after that. A year after their divorce, Icardi got married to Wanda and even tattooed Lopez’s children names on his arm.
