Fayyadh eyes goal-fest against Timor-Leste

Malaysia Under 22 (U-22) striker Hadi Fayyadh Abdul Razak is determined to help his side overcome Timor-Leste in their SEA Games 2019 Group A clash tonight.

The 19-year-old insists that his teammates have gotten over their 1-0 shock defeat to host nation Philippines on Friday and are now focused on the task at hand.

“Following the defeat (against the Philippines), we were all disappointed because no one wants to lose. However, after two days, the players are more focused and motivated than ever.

“We must get over that defeat because our job is not done. There are still two games left in the group stage.

“As a striker, my job is to score goals, as is the case with the other forwards. We will give it our all to overcome Timor-Leste… that’s what matters,” said the Fagiano Okayama player.

Malaysia are set to face Timor-Leste 8pm tonight (2 November) at the Rizal Memorial Stadium in Manila, Philippines.
