FAM to revise contract clauses
The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) are set to have a discussion with the Professional Footballers Association of Malaysia (PFAM) and clubs regarding the issue of player contract clauses.
The problem with contracts and transfers is a recurring issue each year, with players and clubs often failing to fully understand certain clauses.
And FAM Secretary General, Stuart Ramalingam, revealed that they are set to meet all the involved parties so that they can revise the various contract clauses.
“We will study the clauses that are in player contracts right now so that it becomes more debatable to all parties.
“I can’t go into detail about the current contract issues as this is the first time I’m encountering something like this but it could be possible that the confusion was caused by the change in management.
“We will meet with the PFAM and all the clubs to revise the current player contract clauses so that it becomes more transparent to all parties involved,” he said.
