Fabregas backs Hazard to succeed

Cesc Fabregas has backed his former Chelsea team-mate Eden Hazard to be a big success at Real Madrid following the Belgian’s slow start at the club.

In an interview with Spanish radio station La Cope, Fabregas said,”It surprises me that his weight is talked about. It seems people have not seen his seven years in the Premier League.

“Maybe the pre-seasons are hard for him, and it’s true that playing for Real Madrid is a big thing, but I have no doubts about him. He will lead the team.”

Hazard scored with a powerful, curling effort after cutting in from the left during Real Madrid’s 1-0 win over RB Salzburg at the Red Bull Arena today.
