Everton sack Silva

Manager Marco Silva has been sacked by Everton after 18 months with the club.

The Toffees are currently in the Premier League relegation zone following their 5-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

Silva, who took charge in May 2018, won 24 and lost 24 of his 60 games at the club.

It has been reported that Silva’s compatriot, Shanghai SIPG’s Vitor Pereira is being touted as a possible successor.

Former player Duncan Ferguson has been put in temporary charge and will manage the side’s clash against Chelsea this weekend.
