Dyche accusses Reds of cheating

Burnley boss Sean Dyche is unhappy with the way the Liverpool players conducted themselves during his side’s 3-1 Premier League defeat at Turf Moor.

Dyche accused a couple of Jurgen Klopp’s players, particularly Daniel Sturridge, of going down too easily in the tensely fought match.

“It’s funny, he (Klopp) didn’t reference Daniel Sturridge’s cheating. He never got touched, nothing near him, and actually got a free-kick.

“If that has gone, or the suggestion is you’re not allowed to make those tackles that our lads made, and it’s been replaced by cheating, I absolutely am happy to be old-fashioned.

“I just can’t believe Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans – and I don’t believe they do – would want cheating in the game and sacrifice good, honest challenges,” he said.

Burnley are currently 19th in the Premier League with 9 points from 15 games.
