Durakovic: It’s not anyone’s fault

Perak head coach Mehmet Durakovic insists his side gave it their all in the Malaysia Super League 3-2 defeat to Melaka United at the Perak Stadium on Saturday.

The 53-year-old refused to lay blame on his team despite them starting brightly and opening the scoring through Brendan Gan in the 18th minute.

“What more is there to say, we created many chances but failed to capitalise. So we just have to accept this result.

“We win as a team and lose as a team, it’s not anyone’s fault, even though the goals were caused by individual errors.

“We will try to rest and bounce back against PJ City (Petaling Jaya City) in the upcoming fixture. Of course I’m disappointed, playing at home, I wanted us to take all three points. Because the league is very competitive.

“You lose one point, two points and you’re going to drop down in the league standings. And if you win, you also climb very fast” said Durakovic.
