Dollah disappointed with defeat
Pahang head coach Dollah Salleh admits that he is disappointed with his side’s 2-0 defeat to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) in the Malaysia Super League.
He said that his squad headed to the Tan Sri Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin hoping to secure all three points but ultimately came home with none.
“The players were not disciplined in the match, especially the defenders, who gave JDT too much space.
“I warned my players that JDT will punish us if you give them too much space but my players did not listen to me. We tried to pressure them in the second half but it was pointless because our attackers were not efficient.
“The absence of Dickson Nwakaeme was felt dearly because the forwards failed to function well. Without him, we had no one to control the ball, strategise as well as help motivate the younger players to step up. It’s unfortunate that he’s out injured,” said Dollah.
Pahang, currently in second, are eight points behind league leaders JDT in the Malaysia Super League.
